Finding Rares in Emerald (1) by Matt

  • You can catch your choice of Latios or Latias in Emerald (yes, you get to choose)
  • Yes, you can get both Groundon and Kyogre, but it will be difficult.
  • Mew doesn't appear in any of the Pokemon games for GBA yet, but keep an eye out for events...
  • Mewtwo must be traded from FR LG...
  • Deoxys came from Pokemon Rocks America tour...maybe will come back...
  • But Jirachi only came with the Pokemon Colosseum Presale disc...not available.
  • So, for most of the Pokemon, keep your eyes out for tours and trade opportunities...you may get lucky!

Finding Rares in Emerald (4) by EeveeGirl (Webmistress of Umbreevon's Clubhouse!)

The only Pokemon you can catch in Emerald without a certain ticket are: Groudon, Kyogre, Latias, and Latios. You have to have the Aurora Ticket to catch Deoxys, the Old Sea Map to catch Mew, and you cannot catch Mewtwo or Jirachi. You'd need to trade Mewtwo from Fire Red or Leaf Green, and trade Jirachi from Pokemon Coliseum. And here's how to get Latias and Latios:

Beat the Elite Four and go downstairs after your in the house.

Dad'll be downstairs and then he'll talk to you and then give you the S.S. ticket and then Mom'll start talking to you. After she's done, you'll see a news broadcast. The news guy'll say something like "There has been reports of a BZZT...colored flying Pokemon." Then Mom'll ask you what the guy said. Choose red (Latias) or blue (Latios) and there you have it. ^_^

Mew on Mirage Island (1) by Eevee Girl

No you can't find Mew on Mirage Island. The only way to get a Mew on any of the games is to have some sort of cheat code devise. Except in Emerald, Red, and Blue. In Red and Blue there's a glitch that you can do to get Mew. And in Emerald you have to have the Old Sea Map to get to an island called Faraway Island. Unless you have an Action Replay. But you can't get Mew on Ruby or Sapphire and he is not on Mirage Island. Hope this helps.

Mew on Mirage Island (2)  The Pokemon Place Webmaster

Mew can't be found on Mirage Island. Although, there is a thing about an island on Emerald with Mew that is unlocked by getting a ticket; the same way you could have gotten the ticket for Southern Island. This happened in Japan, but there's nothing about it happening in the US.

After Getting all 200  (1)  The Pokemon Place Webmaster

On Emerald, after you get the 200 Pokemon for the Hoenn Pokedex (not just any 200 Pokemon) you go to the Professor and he will have 3 Pokeballs (Chikorita, Cyndaquil, Totodile) just pick one and you get it.

What do you find in the altering caves in FR, LG, and emerald? (by Mewtwofan)

The Altering Cave can be found on Route 103 in Emerald after you defeat the Elite Four. The FR/LG version can be found on Six Island. While there are no pokemon here, save for the occasional zubat, hackers report that there IS coding in there for other pokemon (however, there are no legendaries in the code. Only Johto pokemon that otherwise cannot be found in the GBA games.) It's been assumed then that these pokemon are only obtainable at Nintendo events...
