Here are the secrets to the mysterious Mirage Island...

One of the biggest mysteries of Ruby & Sapphire is Mirage Island.  It was long thought that it wasn't real, or incredibly difficult to get there.  Everyone who played the game has wondered what lies on the island...what pokemon, what berries, any people?

Well...it's real!

When does it show up?

Well, the island shows up...but rarely.  Basically, the program - that is the game, has many variables, including pokemon, slots, places, etc.  Well, with the exact right variables (say pokemon X, on day Y, in slot Z) triggers the game to show the island.  It will only stay for a maximum of one day.  This could be less if you change the variables.

But how do YOU know it's there?  Exactly like you've already been doing...ask the old man in the house in the bottom right house in Pacifilog Town.  He will tell you if it's there.  Then you just surf out in the direction the man is looking (to the right).

What will I find there?

Mirage Island is home to only one type of pokemon...Wynaut.  It will range in levels from 5 to 50, but it is the only pokemon inhabiting grassy area on the island.  The only other thing that you will find there is a plot of dirt growing a berry not seen before.  It is #36, a Liechi Berry.  It is used to make gold pokebloks...and those are supposed to be the best bloks ever...giving the strongest results!
